In 2018, I was commissioned to profile Burna Boy — then an emerging force in Afrobeats whose cultural gravity was already being felt before the mainstream had caught up. I spent a full day with his team in Los Angeles, producing what ran as a cover story for the platform.

Within two years Burna Boy had won a Grammy, sold out arenas globally, and become one of the most significant artists of his generation. This is what Cultural Forecasting looks like in practice — identifying the weight of a cultural figure before the moment arrives, and building a narrative that holds when it does.
